First of a Back-to-Back...

With the most recent issue of Bassmaster Magazine's ranking of the Top 100 Bass Lakes in the country and having Candlewood Lake in Brookfield, Connecticut ranked as # 22, the Bergen Club was chomping at the bit to get their 25th Anniversary Season underway in the first of two-in-a-row at the famed Connecticut fishery.  Anticipating some mixed-bag action, heavy rains two days prior to the Tuesday opener, along with the according drop in water temperature threatened to affect the bite considerably.  The overall results, though frustrating for some (including the author), were not as bad as anticipated....
