Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club at Camp Sebago
For the 3rd year, the Bergen Bassmasters provided a fishing clinic to the youngsters of Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club at Camp Sebago in Harriman State Park. Alvin Walters, Bill Vella and son Ryan, Bob Murphy, Nick Albano and Kris Lechman volunteered their time to either take the kids out on the lake in aluminum boats or to fish from the dock. Using rods and reels donated by Bergen, the kids caught many panfish and a few largemouth bass. Bob Murphy of Ramsey Outdoors provided the bait and tackle. To provide for excellent lake fishing, Kris and Bill provided electric trolling motors and took out many small groups kids via one hour fishing trips. Lake Stahahe provided an abundance of bluegills and plenty of action for the youngsters. All of the kids were attending a ten day camping stay courtesy of the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club from Bronx, NY.
